Israel’s Hostage Crisis: Families Demand Comprehensive Deal

Israeli mothers, whose children are held hostage in Gaza, have accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of sabotaging a ceasefire and hostage deal. They called him “the angel of death” for his alleged role in prolonging the crisis.

The mothers made their demands at Begin Gate in Tel Aviv on Saturday. One mother, Einav Zangauker, said Netanyahu was dragging Israel into a political war that would lead to more deaths. She warned that if Netanyahu sabotaged another deal, there would be a full-scale war against his government.

Another mother, Shai Moses, pointed out that negotiations have been effective in the past, such as when her uncle was released after 482 days in captivity. However, she said Netanyahu chose to abandon previous deals for political reasons.

Omri Lifshitz also spoke out, stating that continued military action puts all remaining hostages at risk. He argued that ending the war and returning the hostages now would be a total victory for Israel, bringing life and mutual responsibility back to the country.

The mothers stressed that they will not rest until their children are returned safely home. They are demanding Netanyahu’s government end the war in Gaza with a comprehensive deal that brings everyone home.
