Italy Evacuates 114 Palestinian Children from Gaza Amid Conflict

Italy has flown 114 Palestinian evacuees, including 31 children in need of medical assistance, from Gaza to Rome, Milan, and Pisa using three C-130 cargo planes. The Italian Air Force transported the patients over from Eilat in Israel.

The children suffered severe injuries, amputations, or serious congenital diseases, according to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is the 14th medical evacuation since January 2024. Italy has evacuated nearly 1,000 Palestinians from Gaza, including those seeking family reunification.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his call for “voluntary migration” of Gaza’s population, which critics argue amounts to ethnic cleansing. Netanyahu’s remarks have been condemned by the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries.

Aid groups have warned that Israel’s new rules for aid organizations working in Gaza will block much-needed relief, replacing independent organizations with those serving Israel’s agenda. The Israeli military has denied these claims, stating that 380 trucks entered Gaza on Wednesday.
