US Vice President J.D. Vance is set to spend his summer vacation in the UK countryside, specifically in the Cotswolds region, with his family. According to reports, Vance will visit a quaint rural cottage with his wife Usha and three young children in mid-August before heading to Scotland for five days.
The Cotswolds, known for its picturesque landscapes and charming villages, attracts millions of visitors each year. The area offers luxurious holiday cottages at various price points, ranging from $900 to over $3,000 for a week’s stay.
Vance’s reported trip comes weeks after a controversy surrounding his family’s visit to Disneyland in California. Protesters appeared outside the Grand Californian Hotel during the Vice President’s initial announcement, and other park-goers experienced delays due to enhanced security measures.
The UK has been welcoming US celebrities, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Taylor Swift, who have visited the area for its idyllic charm and rural landscapes. British A-listers like David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Hugh Grant also own properties in the region.
Vance’s trip to the UK coincides with President Trump’s state visit scheduled for September, where he will be hosted by King Charles at Windsor Castle.
