Jack Draper Hopes Consistency Will Bring Him Close to World’s Best

British tennis player Jack Draper says finding consistency is key to challenging the world’s top players after a breakthrough season that saw him reach back-to-back ATP finals. Draper, 23, has already entered the top 10 and lifted titles in Stuttgart and Vienna.

However, he had to skip the United Cup in Australia due to a hip problem. Despite this, Draper showed glimpses of his best form with a win over world number three Carlos Alcaraz at Indian Wells on Saturday. The victory was described by Draper as “relief, joy” after months of hard work and injuries.

Draper’s goal is to achieve consistency and push the world’s top players in big tournaments. He will face Dane Holger Rune in a Masters 1000 final on Sunday, with the British player hoping to make it a triumphant one. Draper says he needs to focus on recovery and preparation for the next match, as he looks to make his first appearance in a Masters 1000 final.
