Jack White and Meg White to be Inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2025 class of inductees, with the White Stripes led by Jack White and his late wife Meg White, set to join Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, and Soundgarden. This marks the 22nd Detroit artist enshrined in the prestigious performer wing, with Aretha Franklin being the first female inductee in 1987. The White Stripes’ induction was previously announced in 2023 during their first year of eligibility, but this time around, it comes after a lengthy absence from the scene.

The duo’s raw, minimalist sound and iconic hits like “Seven Nation Army” have left an indelible mark on the music world. With Meg White being a reclusive figure since the band’s split in 2011, her potential involvement in their reunion is a topic of intrigue among fans. Jack White has a history of making live appearances, and this ceremony marks another opportunity for him to shine in the spotlight.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame also announced inductions in other categories, including musical influence and excellence. Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for his work at Warner Bros. Records. With their induction now confirmed, fans can look forward to seeing Jack White and Meg White perform together on November 8th.
