Jaguar Unveils Type 00 Concept, Previewing Electric Four-Door Grand Tourer

Jaguar has unveiled the Type 00 concept, a two-door coupe that hints at the styling of its electric four-door grand tourer coming in 2026. The design follows Jaguar’s recent rebranding and features a striking “strikethrough” motif.

The cabin is influenced by architecture, with a stone plinth supporting the seats and structural brass bars dividing the interior. The repeating “strikethrough” pattern appears on the dashboard and exterior design elements.

Jaguar’s new concept car boasts giant 23-inch wheels and an ornate design. Its rear end features no rear window and curving fenders, with a large rectangular panel concealing the taillights.

The interior includes three brass bars running along the cabin and a panoramic glass roof with a glazed strikethrough finish. The seats are upholstered in a wool textile blend and feature an ovoid-shaped steering wheel with a brass spoke at the bottom.

A unique “totems” system allows drivers to change the experience inside the Type 00, featuring three materials: brass, travertine, and alabaster. The design is inspired by Renaissance-era art and architecture.

The Type 00 concept will not directly translate into a production car but provides an idea of what to expect for Jaguar’s first road-ready electric vehicle in two years, with an EPA-rated range of 430 miles for its four-door grand tourer.
