Jaguars head coach Liam Coen has hired Green Bay Packers linebackers coach/run game coordinator Anthony Campanile to lead the team’s defensive unit. Coen praised Campanile, citing his aggressive defense and adaptable system that allows players to play fast and physical.
Campanile brings experience from his five seasons as an NFL assistant coach with the Miami Dolphins and Packers. His teams have shown promise in defending against the run. In Miami, the Dolphins ranked sixth-best in the league in rushing yards per game, while Campanile’s time at Rutgers and Boston College also saw success in tackling the opposing team’s running backs.
A former high school coach in New Jersey, Campanile joins Coen’s staff with a background that spans six seasons across multiple coaching positions.
