Jaguars Hire Former Rams GM James Gladstone As New GM

The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired former Los Angeles Rams personnel executive James Gladstone as their new general manager. Gladstone, 34, joins the team after spending nine seasons with the Rams, including three years as director of scouting strategy.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan praised Gladstone’s vision, communication skills, and ability to bring “new ideas” to the organization. Gladstone was part of a rigorous interview process, which saw him emerge as the top candidate alongside other finalists from teams like the 49ers, Packers, and Bears.

The team’s coaching staff, led by Liam Coen, will work closely with Gladstone in the new role. The trio brings together a mix of experience, including Coen’s time as offensive coordinator and Boselli’s executive VP of football operations credentials.

Gladstone replaces Trent Baalke, who was let go after a split with Khan over coaching candidate Ben Johnson and concerns about working with Baalke. With Gladstone in place, the Jaguars have their top three decision-makers – including coach Liam Coen and EVP Tony Boselli – all in their roles for the first time.
