Jake Paul, the YouTube slugger, faces off against former world champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a highly anticipated cruiserweight bout on June 28th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Paul, who is one of the sport’s top attractions despite not having a traditional fighting pedigree, has an impressive record of 11-1 and recently won a fight against Mike Tyson. He will be looking to prove his skills against Chavez Jr.
Chavez Jr, on the other hand, is a former WBC middleweight champion with a professional boxing record of 53 wins (34 KOs) over 17 years. However, he has struggled in recent years due to personal issues and a lack of motivation.
The main event will begin shortly after 8pm Pacific Standard Time (PST), followed by six undercard bouts. The fight can be streamed live exclusively on DAZN pay-per-view in more than 200 countries worldwide.
Paul initially wanted to face Canelo Alvarez but claimed that Alvarez “ducked” the fight due to concerns over a four-fight deal with Saudi Arabia.
Chavez Jr has vowed to end Paul’s career, while Paul believes Chavez is his toughest opponent yet.
