Comedian and actor Jamie Foxx is set to address his mysterious 2023 health crisis in his upcoming Netflix special “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…”. The crisis, which left Foxx hospitalized for over 20 days and recovering for months, has sparked rumors that Sean “Diddy” Combs may have been responsible.
According to producer Arthur Alston, who attended two of the live shows where Foxx performed, the comedian made jokes about Combs being involved in his illness. Alston claimed Foxx said “Diddy was responsible for what happened… and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on him”. However, an anonymous source has denied that Foxx’s comments were part of a joke, saying they were actually about Combs drugging him.
Combs’ team has denied any connection between Foxx and Diddy’s case, calling the rumors “outlandish, ridiculous and baseless”. The rapper was arrested in September on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Foxx’s health crisis began with a bad headache and left him unable to remember the first 20 days of his illness. He has since opened up about the experience, describing it as an “unexpected dark journey” but also stating that he is “finally feeling like myself”.
The Netflix special will premiere on December 10, giving fans a chance to see Foxx address his health crisis and the rumors surrounding Combs’ involvement.
