Foxx’s medical scare occurred when he was working on the Netflix film “Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz. According to one audience member, Demecos Chambers, Foxx described his experience as being “life-threatening” and noting that doctors informed him he had only a 30% likelihood of surviving.
The coma left Foxx’s family worried, including his daughter Corinne, who visited him while he was in the hospital. She reportedly strummed a cherished song on her guitar to help soothe him, which seemed to improve his vitals and eventually led to his recovery.
