Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has spoken out against his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari over her comments on their divorce finances. During a recent podcast episode, Cavallari claimed she made “close to $50 million” from her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, and that she never received any money from her marriage.
Cutler responded by saying that it’s “insanity” for Cavallari to claim they split everything zero, given their seven-year marriage and three children. He cited his own NFL contract, which he made public online, as evidence that a judge would not have agreed to a division of zero.
Cavallari had stated she was 100% the owner of Uncommon James and didn’t receive any money from her divorce. Cutler called her comments “irresponsible” and said it’s “borderline slander” to imply they split everything zero.
Cutler claimed he has a divorce decree signed by the judge, which contradicts Cavallari’s claims. He stated that while he doesn’t want to disclose exact numbers, his divorce decree indicates there was a significant amount allocated for both parties to live comfortably on.
The situation seems unnecessary for Cutler, who feels it’s “completely untrue” and “very untrue.”
