Comedian and actor Jay Leno shared his thoughts on the future of Los Angeles amid the ongoing wildfires in California. Leno, who lives in a heavily affected area, spoke with Anderson Cooper about the devastation.
“I mean, it’s unbelievable, it’s literally on that scale,” Leno said, referring to the impact of the Palisades Fire, which has burned over 23,000 acres. “It looks like Hiroshima or just some horrible thing. It’s an entire city wiped out.”
Leno predicted that Pacific Palisades, his neighborhood, may not exist for the next five years due to the scale of the destruction.
Other celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Snoop Dogg, have been publicly supporting relief efforts by cooking food for firefighters and providing aid.
As the fires continue to burn, at least 10 people have lost their lives due to the devastating conditions.
