Jay-Z Sues Woman Who Dropped Rape Allegations Amid “Malicious Story”

Jay-Z has filed a lawsuit against the anonymous woman who withdrew her rape lawsuit against him last month, claiming she knew her allegations were false but proceeded with them anyway. The lawsuit, brought in federal court in Alabama, accuses the woman and her lawyers of malicious prosecution and defamation.

According to the lawsuit, Jay-Z’s representatives had previously been informed that the woman had admitted to making up the story about being raped by him in 2000. However, after an NBC News interview highlighted inconsistencies in her account, she acknowledged that she had “made some mistakes” in presenting the allegations.

Despite this, her lawyers continued to defend the veracity of her claims in court papers for two months before withdrawing the lawsuit with no public explanation. The new lawsuit alleges that the woman’s accusers have made false statements about Jay-Z and will continue to face consequences for their actions.

In a statement, the woman’s lawyer said the quotes attributed to her in the lawsuit are “completely made up” and she did not make any admission about the allegations. The statement also accused Jay-Z of attempting to intimidate and bully his accuser, which has contributed to an already heated legal battle between the two parties.

Jay-Z had previously sued the woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, in Los Angeles for allegedly sending a letter that could be considered extortion. A judge is set to decide on the case, but this new lawsuit brings another defamation claim against the accuser and her lawyers.
