Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sued Over Alleged Solicitation of Law Firm Clients

Attorney Tony Buzbee is suing Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation, alleging they solicited clients of his law firm to sue him for personal gain. The lawsuit claims more than two dozen clients were approached by individuals pretending to be state investigators and offered money to take action against Buzbee.

Buzbee is also representing a woman who alleges she was raped by Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs over 20 years ago. Jay-Z has denied the allegations, suing Buzbee for extortion and accusing him of shaking down celebrities for personal gain.

In his lawsuit, Buzbee claims that Roc Nation and Quinn Emanuel, Carter’s law firm, conspired to solicit clients to bring frivolous cases against him. He alleges that some clients were offered $10,000 to sue the firm.

Buzbee has provided audio recordings as evidence, which he claims prove the solicitation scheme. His firm has filed 20 lawsuits against Combs, including allegations of sexual assault, but these have been denied by his lawyers.

Roc Nation and Quinn Emanuel have denied Buzbee’s accusations, calling them “baloney” and a “pathetic attempt to distract and deflect attention.”
