Stellantis has brought back a classic model – the Jeep Cherokee – after a six-year hiatus. The 2026 design boasts a hybrid powertrain, increasing fuel efficiency and reducing emissions. With over 500 miles of range on a single tank, this new model is set to revitalize Jeep’s sales.
Jeep’s sales have been declining for years, but the new Cherokee is designed to address this issue. The car features advanced technology, including Stellantis’ Connect One services package. This upgrade enhances the interior experience and provides more convenience for customers.
“We’ve added 30% more cargo capacity and increased overall size,” said Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf. “This is a perfect fit in our portfolio, between the Compass and Grand Cherokee.”
The entry-level model starts at $36,995, with production set to begin this year. The new design aims to restore the brand’s reputation as an iconic SUV maker.
Stellantis faces challenges from President Trump’s tariffs, which are expected to impact costs by 1.5 billion euros or $1.74 billion. Despite these headwinds, CEO Antonio Filosa remains confident in the company’s ability to recover and revitalize Jeep’s market share through this new model.
