Billionaire Jeff Bezos celebrated the inaugural launch of his company’s rocket by treating himself to a meal at Country Cookin’ Diner in Port St. John, Florida. According to Pam Pollock, the person who served him, Bezos ordered pancakes, eggs, and sausage and was described as “very nice” despite having an entourage of security.
The diner is owned by Jim Broome, Debby Broome, and Amanda McFarland, with locations in Cocoa and two other spots across the Space Coast. The owners revealed that high-profile visitors like former Governor Charlie Crist, Senator Rick Scott, and Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey have dined at their restaurant before. Bezos’ visit was seen as a significant honor, reflecting his support for local businesses and employees in the community.
