Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially ended their two-year marriage, with a Los Angeles Superior Court judge approving their divorce settlement on January 6. The couple’s divorce will take effect on February 21, after California’s required six months passed since Lopez filed to dissolve their union.
The settlement was reached through mediation in September, avoiding a drawn-out court battle that some celebrity couples have faced. However, the financial details remain private, with neither star agreeing to pay spousal support. Since they do not have any children together, custody is also not an issue.
Lopez and Affleck’s marriage began in July 2022, after they got back together two decades after their initial romance. The couple’s previous stint as a pair in the early 2000s ended with their split in 2004, due in part to the pressures of the public eye.
Before their reunion, Lopez was married four times and had twins with singer Marc Anthony, while Affleck divorced Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children, in 2018.
