Jenny Slate Allegedly Filed HR Complaint Over Uncomfortable Interaction with ‘It Ends With Us’ Director

Jenny Slate reportedly filed an HR complaint while filming “It Ends With Us” following a conversation with Wayfarer Studios President Jamey Heath about her apartment in New York City. The comedian allegedly expressed dissatisfaction with the apartment, but was told by Heath that Wayfarer would reimburse her for a better place to stay. However, Heath’s words were described as making Slate uncomfortable.

The incident is part of a larger controversy surrounding the film’s director, Justin Baldoni, and co-star Blake Lively. Lively recently filed an amended lawsuit claiming she felt uncomfortable with both Baldoni and Heath, and that other women shared her concerns.

Slate publicly supported Lively in December 2024, but the extent to which Slate was involved in the allegations against Baldoni is unclear. The lead producer of “It Ends With Us” allegedly focused intensely on Slate’s role as a mother and the sanctity of motherhood during filming.

The matter will likely come up during the upcoming trial set for March 2026, where Lively and Baldoni will face off in court.
