Jessica Simpson Returns to TV After 15 Years with Daughter’s Support

Jessica Simpson made her first TV performance in 15 years on Sunday night during the “American Idol” finale. She performed her song “Blame Me,” accompanied by former season 23 contestant Josh King, who also covered Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” for the 2005 film “Dukes of Hazzard.”

Simpson reposted a photo from her daughter Maxwell on Instagram, captioned with “Go mommmmm I love you so much and I am so happy your dreams are coming true.” Simpson expressed gratitude to her daughter’s unwavering support.

The singer has booked another performance: headlining the 5th annual Women Who Rock benefit concert in Pittsburgh on September 5 for Magee-Womens Research Institute.
