General Dynamics’ subsidiary, Jet Aviation, has purchased a hangar at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport for $11.8 million. The acquisition is part of an overall deal that includes the operations and property of recently acquired private jet charter company Jet IN. The facility features a 10,000-square-foot passenger terminal, aircraft hangarage, maintenance shop, and dedicated ramp space.
Jet Aviation plans to expand its network of FBOs worldwide with this purchase, bringing it to 30 locations globally, including 10 in the US. The company acquired all assets of Jet IN’s FBO and ground handling operation at Mitchell International in October, adding to its services for passengers and crew.
The hangar was built in 2023 and was previously owned by Jet IN, a private jet charter company that partnered with sister company Jet OUT until their partnership ended. Despite the change, Jet OUT continues to use the terminal and rent space in the Milwaukee hangar for maintenance purposes.
