JetBlue Cancels Nonstop Route to JFK Airport

JetBlue Airways has discontinued its seasonal nonstop route between Austin and New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, according to the airline. This change comes after reviewing customer demand and deciding to reallocate resources to more in-demand routes.

The AUS-JFK route, which launched in summer last year, will not be reinstated next year. Passengers who have booked flights on this route will have two options: connecting through Boston or receiving a full refund. The airline had previously canceled nonstop service between Austin and Fort Lauderdale in May.

JetBlue carried over 163,000 passengers between January and September, representing an 18% decrease from the same period last year.
