The New York Jets have completed their interview process for the head coaching job, confirming reports from earlier this week. Mike Vrabel, former Titans coach, was one of three candidates interviewed by the team. Vrabel’s tenure in Tennessee saw him go 54-45 over six seasons, including a trip to the AFC Championship Game after the 2019 season.
Vrabel left his role last year after two consecutive losing seasons but worked as a consultant with the Browns this year. The Jets secured an exclusive interview with Vrabel, and it is expected that other teams will also be in touch soon.
Other coaching candidates, including Ron Rivera and Jeff Ulbrich, have already undergone interviews with the Jets. With Vrabel’s reputation for success in Tennessee, he has become a popular name on the coaching landscape this offseason.
