Jimmy Johnson Announces Retirement from Fox Sports Network

Former NFL coach and long-time Fox sports analyst Jimmy Johnson has announced his retirement from broadcasting. Johnson made the announcement during a recent appearance on The Herd, stating that he’s been thinking about it for four to five years. He expressed that it was an extremely difficult decision, but ultimately feels it’s time to move on. Johnson joined Fox in 1994 after leaving his coaching stint with the Cowboys and returned to the network after coaching the Dolphins from 1996 to 1999. The remaining studio crew will continue to host Fox NFL Sunday, including Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, Howie Long, Rob Gronkowski, and Jay Glazer.
