Randy Orton entered WrestleMania 41 without an opponent after Kevin Owens’ recent neck injury, but that didn’t stop him from issuing a challenge to the crowd. TNA Champion Joe Hendry stepped up and answered the challenge, catching many off guard.
However, for Hendry’s massive opportunity, it didn’t quite work out as planned. Orton promised whoever accepted his challenge an RKO, which he delivered quickly after a failed roll-up attempt from Hendry. The match saw Orton using his patented moves, including clotheslines and an elevated DDT, but Hendry managed to gain momentum.
Tragically, that was when the RKO struck, ending the match in short order. Despite this, both competitors shared a moment of camaraderie after the bout, with Orton telling Hendry to appreciate the experience before hitting another RKO.
The match concluded with Orton mocking Hendry and leaving the ring, highlighting his 20th WrestleMania appearance.
