WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley praises John Cena for being honest about his past accomplishments during a recent promo exchange on WWE Raw. Cena had been speaking out about how some fans dislike him on TV, but Dudley believes he was telling the truth.
During the promo, Cena took aim at Cody Rhodes, calling him a “generic mix of every superstar” who has copied his moves and persona. Cena also mocked Rhodes’ wrestling gimmick tattoo, saying it made him look like a fan. The two got physical as their promo exchange came to an end, with Rhodes delivering a Cross Rhodes that left Cena reeling.
Dudley praises Cena’s line about stealing the blueprint for being a top guy from Rhodes, saying it resonated with his own experience. “I love that line, because it’s true,” he said. “John realizes that everything Cody is doing, John has done before him.”
