Jon Gries is back at The White Lotus resort in the HBO series’ third season. The actor reprised his role as Greg, who met and fell in love with Tanya (played by Jennifer Coolidge) in season one.
In the premiere episode, fans were surprised to see Jon return for the show’s third installment. Greg’s character is linked to an unfinished plotline from seasons one and two. Tanya discovered that her husband had set her up to be killed, but she accidentally killed herself while trying to escape.
Jon has previously denied a theory that he never loved his wife, stating that he thinks Greg truly loves Tanya. However, it’s unclear what motivated Greg’s actions in the first place. The second episode of The White Lotus will arrive on HBO Max Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
