Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen suffered a hand injury during Week 16’s matchup against the New England Patriots. The extent of the injury was unclear until after the game when Allen explained that he had hit his right hand on something and lost feeling in it. Despite struggling, Allen completed several passes and helped lead the team to a comeback win.
Allen initially struggled with numbness in his hand, which made it difficult for him to grip the ball. However, after receiving treatment from the medical staff, he was able to regain sensation and continue playing. According to head coach Sean McDermott, Allen’s medical staff cleared him to return to play, and he has been deemed safe to move forward.
The Bills have already dealt with a similar hand injury issue earlier in the season when Allen fractured his left hand in Week 1. Nevertheless, it appears that this latest incident will not impact Allen’s availability moving forward.
