Judge Arun Subramanian sharply criticized both prosecutors and the defense team in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex trafficking trial on Tuesday. Following a session with attorneys, the judge claimed that at least one person had “flagrantly violated this court’s orders.” The sealed evidence involved, which was leaked to tabloid press outlets like TMZ and Daily Mail, was not discussed in court but reportedly includes footage of Combs’ ex, Cassie Ventura, with male escorts.
Prosecutor Maurene Comey and defense team chief Marc Agnifilo denied leaking the information. Subramanian warned them that as leaders of their teams, they would be individually responsible for any leaks, facing civil or criminal contempt charges if found guilty. He emphasized that “there’s no passing the buck anymore” with the responsibility lying squarely on them.
The defense team had argued that the video showed Combs’ personal sex life, while prosecutors claimed it could be evidence of sex trafficking. The jury will now decide after viewing 18 minutes of footage.
