“Jurassic World Rebirth Roars to Life”

Universal’s “Jurassic World Rebirth” has made a strong debut at the international box office, earning $171 million from 82 markets in its first weekend of release. The film, starring Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, has grossed $318 million worldwide, including $147 million domestically.

The sci-fi franchise is rebooting with an entirely new cast and mission, focusing on a top-secret quest to retrieve dinosaur DNA for a miracle drug. While it has experienced some diminishing returns in North America, the film remains popular internationally, with top-earning territories including China ($41 million), the UK and Ireland ($16.6 million), Mexico ($13.9 million), and Germany ($7.6 million).

In contrast, Apple’s “F1: The Movie” took second place on international box office charts with $56.3 million from 78 markets, bringing its total to $184 million overseas and $293 million worldwide. However, the film’s massive budget may require more time to justify its ticket sales.

Meanwhile, Disney’s live-action remake of “Lilo & Stitch” has approached the billion-dollar milestone, earning $564.2 million internationally and $972.7 million globally after seven weekends of release. The film has surpassed “A Minecraft Movie” as the year’s highest-grossing Hollywood release.

Despite strong reviews and audience scores, Pixar’s animated adventure “Elio” is struggling at the box office, with poor overseas earnings of $41.7 million and a worldwide total of $96.8 million after three weekends of release. This suggests that original animation may be facing challenges in the current market.
