Justin Baldoni Drops Subpoena Against Taylor Swift

A subpoena sent to Taylor Swift has been withdrawn by Justin Baldoni’s legal team, a spokesperson confirmed on May 22. The move comes after Swift’s representatives previously slammed the subpoena as a tactic for “tabloid clickbait” instead of focusing on facts.

Baldoni and Blake Lively are set to go to trial in March 2026, with Lively accusing Baldioni of sexual harassment, “disturbing” behavior, and a retaliatory smear campaign. The case revolves around the production of the film “It Ends With Us”.

Swift’s team had claimed that she had no involvement in the film and was only involved due to licensing one of her songs. They also denied allegations that Swift pressured Baldioni into accepting a rewrite by Lively.

The dispute between Lively, Reynolds, and Baldioni has sparked controversy over alleged harassment and retaliation claims. The trial will determine the outcome of both lawsuits filed by Lively against Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, and Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicity team.
