Justin Baldoni plans to continue his legal battle against “It Ends With Us” co-star Blake Lively, despite a judge dismissing $400 million defamation lawsuit against her. In a statement, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said the court dismissed some claims but invited him to amend four out of seven claims against Lively.
Freedman stated that Lively’s accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation are unfounded and that he will proceed with evidence supporting his claims. He expressed gratitude for public support and admiration from the “Internet sleuth community” who have covered the case with integrity.
The lawsuit, which also accused The New York Times of conspiring against Baldoni, was dismissed by a judge. Lively’s lawyers responded to Baldoni’s vow, saying that no amount of spin or creative accounting can change the fact that the plan to sue them has failed. A trial on Lively’s complaint against Baldoni is set for March 2026.
