Justin Gaethje will face Rafael Fiziev at UFC 313, marking a highly anticipated rematch between the two fighters. The co-main event was initially scheduled to feature Dan Hooker against ‘The Highlight’, but an injury forced Hooker out of the fight.
Gaethje’s next opponent is a man he defeated once before in London, and Fiziev’s team has been vocal about their desire for a rematch. The Kazakhstan native had six consecutive performance bonuses going into his last bout with Gaethje, including a victory over former champion Rafael Dos Anjos.
Fiziev had offered to face Gaethje after his hand injury forced him out of the initial fight against Dan Hooker. The UFC quickly agreed to the terms, and now both fighters will look to settle their rivalry in Las Vegas on March 8th.
