Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been honored with a Madden 99 rating, joining an exclusive group of top-ranked players in the popular video game series. The milestone marks the third consecutive year Jefferson has received a 99 rating, making him the only player in franchise history to achieve this feat.
Jefferson’s impressive skills on the field have earned him numerous accolades, including three seasons of over 1,500 receiving yards and three seasons of at least 100 catches. He is also the first Vikings player to be featured as a 99 more than once, having initially received a 98 rating in Madden 25 before being bumped up via an online roster update.
Only three other Vikings players have reached the top video-game status: guard Randall McDaniel in Madden 99, defensive end Jared Allen in Madden 11, and running back Adrian Peterson in Madden 14. Jefferson’s achievement is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport.
Despite nursing a minor hamstring strain at training camp, Jefferson expressed his determination to continue working towards greatness. “I feel like every year it’s hard trying to outdo the previous year, but I also feel like that’s what makes me, me,” he said.
