A South Korean court has approved an injunction against NewJeans, blocking members from commercial activities without their record label’s Ador consent. The ruling recognized Ador’s rights as the group’s manager, potentially halting plans to release new songs and organize appearances.
NewJeans announced a split with Ador in November, accusing the label of mistreatment, but both sides dispute the claims. NewJeans will challenge the decision, while Ador sees it as confirmation of its exclusive management agency status.
The feud began over executive producer Min Hee-Jin, whom Hybe replaced last year, leading to NewJeans’ departure from Ador. The group is set to participate in the ComplexCon festival in Hong Kong this weekend despite the dispute.
