A Kansas resident won $50,000 in the latest Powerball drawing, narrowly missing out on the grand prize of $154 million. The winning numbers were 21, 32, 36, 45 and 49, with a Powerball of 18.
The jackpot remains at an estimated $172 million for the next drawing, which will take place on February 15. To win the top prize, players must match all five white balls and the red Powerball. The odds of scoring the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.
Over 270,000 other tickets sold across the US also won prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000. The last Powerball jackpot was won by an Oregon player on January 18, when they took home $329 million.
