Kaspersky has released its annual cybersecurity report, highlighting statistics from its global cloud service that received information from components in its security solutions voluntarily provided by Kaspersky users. The report covers the period from November 2023 to October 2024 and provides insights into malicious activity detected globally.
Key findings include:
* Over 302 million malware attacks were stopped worldwide.
* More than 85 million unique malicious URLs were detected.
* Web Anti-Virus components blocked over 72 million unique malicious objects.
* Ransomware attacks were prevented on the computers of nearly 303,000 users.
* Miners infected approximately 999,794 unique users’ devices.
* Banking, ATM, and point-of-sale malware was prevented from launching on around 208,323 devices.
