Kate Middleton Focuses on Children’s Hospice Week Amid Royal Absence

Kate Middleton, 43, expressed her support for Children’s Hospice Week in a heartfelt message, highlighting the work of children’s hospices across the UK. The Princess of Wales was absent from the annual horse racing event, Royal Ascot, due to unforeseen circumstances.

In her statement, Middleton described her experiences as Patron of two children’s hospices, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in South Wales. She emphasized the importance of access to such support for families facing serious health conditions, citing thousands of families across the country.

Middleton praised the work of these hospices, which provide vital care to children and families during challenging times. Her message concluded with a call to the public to join her in celebrating this life-changing work and thanking the caregivers who provide essential support.

This is not Middleton’s first time advocating for children’s hospice services; she has been an advocate since marrying Prince William in 2011, visiting numerous hospices on her overseas tours. Her commitment to this cause was recently recognized by the director of family well-being services at Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, who praised her inspiring visit and empathy towards the children.
