Former Bachelorette star Katie Thurston, 34, has shared an update about her breast cancer diagnosis. Thurston revealed earlier this month that she was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple positive ductal carcinoma. After undergoing tests, including a CT scan, bone density scan, blood work, and MRI, doctors confirmed that the cancer had spread to her liver. The liver spots were detected early, and the cancer is considered small. Thurston’s new treatment plan involves chemotherapy, which will begin next Friday. Despite the diagnosis, she remains optimistic about her outcome due to the early detection of the cancer.
