Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated their team’s clinched No. 1 seed in the AFC by decking out in festive attire and rocking a hilarious locker room dance.
Kelce, 35, and Mahomes, 29, were spotted sporting sleek red jackets with white fur trim, which they showcased as they entered the locker room after their win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The moment was captured on video and posted to the team’s social media accounts.
As Kelce and Mahomes posed for a photo, they were surprised by head coach Andy Reid, who entered the room dressed as Santa Claus. Reid presented the duo with home-field advantage for the playoffs.
The NFL captioned a video of the moment on X, calling it “Santa Reid giving the best gift of all.” Before joining their teammates to celebrate, Kelce and Mahomes met senior NFL reporter Stacey Dales, who gave them cake footballs as part of a promotional deal with Netflix.
Kelce cracked open his cake football and took a bite, saying “A little red velvet,” while Mahomes opted out, joking about watching his weight until the playoffs. The Chiefs are set to play one final game next week before the postseason begins.
Additionally, Kelce’s impressive performance helped him earn another spot in the NFL record books, as he caught his 90th touchdown pass of the season, marking his seventh consecutive season with at least 90 TD receptions.
