Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock Dies at 48

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, talent manager Brandon Blackstock, has died at the age of 48 after a three-year battle with cancer. The news was announced on Thursday by Starstruck Entertainment, where Blackstock served as an executive.

Blackstock managed several high-profile clients in the country music world, including Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts. He is also the son of Reba McEntire’s ex-husband Narvel Blackstock, who founded Starstruck Entertainment in 1988.

The announcement comes after Kelly Clarkson postponed her Las Vegas residency due to her ex-husband’s health issues. Clarkson had been scheduled to begin the residency in July but delayed its start due to vocal issues. The residency is now set to run through November.

Blackstock was born on December 16, 1976, and is survived by his four children, including two with Clarkson. He also leaves behind his father Narvel Blackstock and mother Elisa Gayle Ritter.
