Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” is getting a new spinoff, starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as characters Beth and Rip. The news comes ahead of the season five finale, which has been speculated to be the last chapter in Kevin Costner’s character John’s story.
Reilly and Hauser were initially reported to lead a sixth season of “Yellowstone”, but this new spinoff would still include the title and air as a separate series. This move allows Paramount to keep it within their streaming ecosystem, while keeping the main series on its linear network.
According to Christina Alexandra Voros, executive producer on “Yellowstone”, the final episode of season five provides closure for fans, who will now have to wait for the spinoff series to see what’s next for Beth and Rip. The news was first reported by Deadline.
