In this game, characters will remember and respond to your actions over time, creating a more open-ended experience.
Levine’s approach to narrative design focuses on recognizing and responding to the player’s action. He aims to make every notable NPC capable of holding a grudge, and the game’s story is designed to unfold based on the player’s choices and actions.
The goal is to create a sense of agency for the player, with different routes leading to varying outcomes. The Mayflower environment will be more open-ended than previous Bioshock games, allowing players to explore and interact with the world in new ways.
