Ken Masters Joins Street Fighter VI’s Crossover Roster

Ken Masters, the iconic Street Fighter character, has joined the World Warrior ranks of Street Fighter VI with a surprise appearance at the Esports World Cup 2025 major. As part of this crossover, Ken will be playable in the game’s King of Fighters Maximum Mayhem tournament and will likely release as DLC in August.

According to SNK, Ken is entering the tournament seeking closure for an incident he was wrongfully tied to, with a fiery arsenal of unmatched offense. His kit features familiar moves from his Street Fighter 6 run, including Hadouken, Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku, and Shoryuken. Ken’s stage seems to be inspired by Street Fighter II’s Ryu’s Suzaku Castle stage.

This move marks the first time SNK has allowed a Street Fighter character to challenge Terry Bogard on his home turf since Ryo from Art of Fighting Special in Fatal Fury Special. The addition of Ken to the roster is seen as a way for both camps’ developers to confirm their rivalry between Ken and Terry.

Ken’s release will likely bring an exciting change to the game’s meta, with Rooflemonger noting that he might be able to disrupt the current stacked lineup. Fans can expect to see Ken playable at Evo USA 2025 at the SNK Booth, with a Summer 2025 window in mind for his official release.
