“Ketamine Queen” Agrees to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Death Case

Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges related to selling the substance that led to the death of actor Matthew Perry in October 2023. She is expected to plead guilty in the coming weeks and faces decades in prison for each count.

Sangha’s plea comes after her attorney, Mark Geragos, stated she was taking responsibility for her actions. The last person in the case to plead guilty, Sangha had been scheduled to go on trial in late September but instead opted to enter a guilty plea.

The charges against Sangha include one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises and three counts of distribution of ketamine. Prosecutors claim she sold Perry 51 vials of ketamine, which were provided by Erik Fleming, a co-defendant who also pleaded guilty in August 2024.

According to the Justice Department, Sangha worked with Fleming and another co-conspirator, Kenneth Iwamasa, to distribute the substance to Perry. Iwamasa repeatedly injected Perry with the ketamine, causing his death. The investigation found that Sangha had been selling ketamine since at least June 2019.

Sangha’s guilty plea also acknowledges her role in a previous overdose death. Prosecutors said she sold four vials of ketamine to Cody McLaury hours before his death in August 2019.

The “Ketamine Queen” case marks the latest development in Perry’s death, which has been attributed to an acute ketamine overdose. The actor died at the age of 54, and the investigation into his death continues.
