“Ketamine Queen Pledges Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Death”

Jasveen Sangha, a 42-year-old woman known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to selling the drug that led to the overdose death of actor Matthew Perry. She will face five charges, including one count of distributing ketamine resulting in death or bodily injury.

Sangha’s decision comes after federal prosecutors described her Los Angeles home as a “drug-selling emporium” and found dozens of vials of ketamine during a raid. The actress had originally faced nine criminal counts but has since agreed to plead guilty to the reduced charges.

The case involves Sangha, along with four other individuals – including medical doctors and Perry’s assistant – who allegedly supplied ketamine to the actor. These include Drs. Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Eric Fleming. All five have agreed to plead guilty to charges in the case.

Sangha faces a maximum sentence of 60 years in federal prison for her role in Perry’s death. The use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic with hallucinogenic effects, can distort perception and cause users to feel disconnected and out of control. Authorities say the substance is meant to be administered only by a physician.

The case highlights Hollywood’s ketamine drug network, which one doctor has called the “wild west.” Sangha was accused of supplying ketamine from her stash house in North Hollywood since at least 2019, allegedly working with celebrities and high-end clients.
