“Ketamine Queen Pledges Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Overdose Death”

Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges related to the overdose death of actor Matthew Perry. The 42-year-old citizen of the US and UK will face up to 45 years in prison for selling Perry the drug that killed him.

Sangha will plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. She had sold four vials of ketamine to another man hours before he died from an overdose in 2019.

The case is the fifth and final defendant charged in Perry’s overdose death to strike a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. Three other defendants, including Dr. Salvador Plasencia, agreed to plead guilty in exchange for cooperation, which included statements implicating Sangha and Plasencia.

Perry died from ketamine overdose on October 28, 2023, at his Los Angeles home. He had been using the drug as a treatment for depression, which became increasingly common among celebrities.

Sangha’s attorney said she was “taking responsibility” for her actions, while prosecutors described her as a prolific drug dealer known to her customers. The case highlights the dangers of prescription drug misuse and the consequences of selling these substances to vulnerable individuals.
