Kevin Durant Traded to Houston Rockets

Kevin Durant is once again on the move, as the Houston Rockets have acquired the 15-time All-Star in a trade involving Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, and multiple picks from the Phoenix Suns.

At 37 years old, Durant remains one of the best scorers in the league, with a career scoring average of 27.2 points per game. He is eighth on the all-time scoring list with over 30,500 career points and has led the league in true shooting percentage among players with at least 500 games played.

Durant’s impressive statistics also include:

* Averaging 25 points or more in at least 35 games for 13 consecutive seasons
* Shooting 62% from the field and 37% from three-point range over his last five years
* Being one of only a few players to average 25 points, one steal, and one block per game
* Leading the league in steals and blocks with at least 500 games played

The 15-time All-Star has also made significant improvements in his mid-range shooting, including:

* Shooting 52.1% from mid-range over his last 10 seasons
* Attempting more three-pointers than mid-range shots this season for the first time in his career
* Being one of nine players to shoot 50% or better on at least 75 corner 3-point attempts

Durant’s defensive skills are also among the best in the league, including:

* Averaging just 2.5 post-ups per game and possessing the ball for less than 10% of his minutes
* Having an assist/turnover rate of 1.38
* Defending shots significantly better than expected by opponents

The trade brings a significant boost to the Rockets, with Durant’s presence improving their chances on both ends of the floor.
