Kevin Spacey Slams Guy Pearce as “Victim” After Allegations

Actor Guy Pearce has accused Kevin Spacey of targeting him during the filming of LA Confidential in 1997. In response, Spacey called Pearce out on social media, telling him to “grow up” and insisting he is not a victim.

Pearce claims that Spacey made unwanted advances towards him when they worked together on the film, saying he felt safe with co-star Simon Baker nearby. However, Pearce also acknowledged being young and vulnerable at the time, which may have contributed to his silence on the issue for decades.

The allegations surfaced during the #MeToo movement in 2017, which saw multiple men in Hollywood accused of misconduct. Spacey had previously denied any wrongdoing but apologized for past behavior, saying he had “learned” from the movement.

Pearce expressed his emotional response to hearing about the allegations, saying they made him break down in tears and forced him to confront how he had brushed off the incidents. He also clarified that while he considers himself a victim of Spacey’s actions, it was not on the same level as other alleged victims.

Spacey responded by questioning Pearce’s decision to come forward now, suggesting he may have been leading Spacey on and then confronting him years later. However, he offered to discuss the issue further with Pearce, saying he has “nothing to hide.”
