UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was removed from a flight due to a seat dispute with Frontier Airlines staff. The 36-year-old Russian athlete claimed the worker was “very rude” and spoke little English despite him saying he could understand everything.
Nurmagomedov initially faced criticism for sitting in an exit row on Alaska Airlines, but later clarified that he was actually flying with Frontier Airlines. He shared a video of the incident, which shows an employee telling him to switch seats or get off the plane.
The worker responded, “It’s not fair,” and Nurmagomedov asked why, to which the employee said, “It is.” The athlete questioned whether the reason for the dispute was racial or national in nature.
Frontier Airlines has since responded to Nurmagomedov’s post, stating they are investigating the incident. However, many on social media have defended the UFC champion and criticized the airline’s behavior, calling it “unacceptable” and “embarrassing.”
